Objectives: promote and advance the education and training of medical professionals scientists researchers technicians and counsellors in relation to hepatitis C its causes detection transmission prevention and Treatment and the care and support of persons with hepatitis C and their families. advance the education of the public concerning and promoting an awareness of hepatitis C. carry out or fund the gathering of information about hepatitis C and surveys of hepatitis C sufferers in order to facilitate research into hepatitis C and in particular treatment options and transmission routes. provide or fund a telephone helpline to provide information and advice concerning hepatitis C. and co-operate with other charities voluntary boards and statutory and governmental authorities (whether national or local) and whether in the United Kingdom or in any other part or parts of the world operating in furtherance of the foregoing purposes or of similar charitable purposes and to exchange information and advice with them.
