The Charity was set up back in 2008 with the purpose of holding Gatherings in Argyll, Scotland to coincide with the Taynuilt Highland Games and attract McIntyre's, MacIntyre's and other spellings, connect with descendants from across the World. It was also to preserve the history and help people learn about their heritage. Two Gatherings have been held in 2008 and 2018, however the remaining trustees have been unable to attract new blood to continue the Trust. Two of the original Trustees have sadly since passed away. With the advent of DNA testing and people discovering their McIntyre roots, we have been helping members with this and a specific Facebook group relating to the attendees who have tested was created. Donations continue to be made to appropriate McIntyre linked activities such as the Duncan Ban Centenary in 2024.
