The rowing club is run by member volunteers to promote and foster the sport of rowing, providing opportunities for both recreation and competition. The purpose of the club is to provide a space for sports and fitness to the local community of Dumfries and Galloway and provides a space for other Scottish and English clubs to attend events held by the club annually. We provide coaching, equipment and access to water for members who wish to row competitively so they have the skills and abilities to attend regattas as well as attending the weekly training sessions. For those members who are interested only in social rowing we offer a safe space to coach them with the aim of fitness and technique to enjoy the sport both on the water and off the water. Building team relationships, confidence and independence is at the core of all our activities. The club provides and maintains a clubhouse with boat storage, gym equipment, training hall, changing rooms along with a bar& kitchen.
