'the advancement of education'

sound is a new music incubator based in North East Scotland which increases access to new music, encourages excellence and experimentation and nurtures talent. It does this through three main strands of activity: 1. Commissioning, producing and promoting new work through the soundfestival of new music which takes place annually in North East Scotland. 2. A year-round programme of workshops giving young people in North East Scotland access to creative music making opportunities, including an annual composition course. 3. A year-round programme of online and in-person composer support activities giving composers, and in particular Scottish composers of all generations, access to ongoing support throughout their careers.
