Since 2005, Lochaber Hope (LH) has provided a safe, positive and judgment free environment for the whole Lochaber community, including six remote areas. We deliver Mentoring, Counselling, Employability Support, Peer and Activity Groups, Addiction Recovery Support and Personal Development. Our approach empowers people, builds confidence and promotes independence, offering easy access to deeper support during vulnerable or crisis periods. LH is recognised as a model of good practice with quality standards and national awards for outstanding achievement. We have supported over 6,000 people therapeutically and helped more than 1,300 vulnerable individuals move into employment. Our team includes 9 staff and 60 volunteers, and we are a Fair Work employer. We recently opened the Lochaber Hope Community Hub, a fully accessible, neurodiverse friendly centre with counselling rooms, offices, community spaces and a soon to open community “Pay What You Can” café.

Objectives: To promote the benefit of all the inhabitants of Lochaber and its environs specifically those who may be current or reforming substance users, alcoholics, mentally or physically impaired or have criminal convictions, without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions
