Annual Report & Financial Statements for the year ending 31 Sl March 2024 Scoltish Charity SC036936 Structure, Governance & Management Governing Document: Kids in the Street (KITS) was recognised as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation ISCIO) on the 301h July 2015 as a result of a change to SCIO application by KITS which was an unincorporaled association registered as a chanty since 131h October 2005. Trustee Recruitment & Appointment: At each AGM, the members may elect any member (unless helshe is debarred from membership under clause Error! Reference source not found. of the Constitution) to be a charity trustee. All of the charity trustees electedlappointed shall retire from off ice, but shall then be eligible for relecb'on. Summary of the main activities in relation to these objectives: The Charity undertakes the advancementof public participation in sport, through Kids in the Street providing recreab'onal opportunities for young people to take part in and promote a lifelong involvement in sport The provision of recreational facilities enables all young people who live, learn and play in East Edinburgh, to develop to theirfull potential irrespective of race, ethnicity, gender, ability, faith, polib'cal or religious beliefs. Through the medium of'street Sports forAII' we aim to encourage and promote responsible behavior. raise awareness of the dangers surrounding alcohol and subslance abuse.

Annual Report & Financial Statement5 for the year eTrJirKJ 31st March 2024 Scottish Charity SC036936 Achievement & Perfonnance This year is our 19th year of being Kids in the Streetand as we look back it has been another great yearfor us. We are grateful to CraigmillarHigh School for enabling us to use the Spa￿ not only to meet and engage with young people but to also keep all our equipment and other stuff. Being able to use the outdoors pitch when the weather has not been good but young people are still keen to play. Kev and Ryan continue to be part of thejoint school transitions program and support the PE team in providing great opportunib'esfor young people both as part of the curriculum and out with school time too. Being visible in the community also enables us to continue and grow relationships with young people out with school time and also rrEet parents, where relationships are also important. We have distributed footwear and other sports clothing to families in need to take away pressure of providing clothing to take parL And we continue to stay close to our mission, which is to encourage young people to take part in the sports we offer irrespective of age, gender or ability. We are proud to say thatjust over 30 0/0 of our membership is female, a percentage we take pride in as many girfs stop participating in sports in their move through high school. So, as we move into our 20th year. we look forward to making this a celebrdtion of what we have achieved alongside young people past and presenc parents, local partners and others.

Annual Report & Financial Statements for the year eTrJiro 3151 March 2024 Scoltish Charity No SC036936 Independent Examlnerfs Report on the Accounts Report to the trustees of Kids in the Street SCIO Registered charity number SC036936 On the accounts of the charity for the period to 3151 March 2024 Set out on Pages 7 to 8 Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the prepardtion of Ihe accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Inveslment (Scolland) 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts (Scoljand) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(11 Id) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether parts'cular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examinerfs statement My examination is carried out in accordan￿ with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (ScotJand} Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of Ihe accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanationsfrom the trustees conceming any such matters.
