Achievement & Perfonnance
This year is our 19th year of being Kids in the Streetand as we look back it has been
another great yearfor us.
We are grateful to CraigmillarHigh School for enabling us to use the Spa￿ not only to meet
and engage with young people but to also keep all our equipment and other stuff. Being
able to use the outdoors pitch when the weather has not been good but young people are
still keen to play.
Kev and Ryan continue to be part of thejoint school transitions program and support the PE
team in providing great opportunib'esfor young people both as part of the curriculum and out
with school time too.
Being visible in the community also enables us to continue and grow relationships with
young people out with school time and also rrEet parents, where relationships are also
important. We have distributed footwear and other sports clothing to families in need to take
away pressure of providing clothing to take parL And we continue to stay close to our
mission, which is to encourage young people to take part in the sports we offer irrespective
of age, gender or ability. We are proud to say thatjust over 30 0/0 of our membership is
female, a percentage we take pride in as many girfs stop participating in sports in their move
through high school.
So, as we move into our 20th year. we look forward to making this a celebrdtion of what we
have achieved alongside young people past and presenc parents, local partners and others.
