The charity has been set up to promote horticulture and to encourage the public to look after and improve the environment in the Uddingston area. This is carried out by having fund raising activities ,applying for appropriate grants and working in conjunction with both North and South Lanarkshire Councils and other appropriate bodies. The charity encourages volunteers mostly local to help carry out the work in the area.
