Arran Visual Arts (AVA) arranges monthly Arts workshops for ay interested people as well as an annual Art exhibition, open to all members to exhibit their work. Art in Mind project runs two weekly art groups in different venues, for people experiencing mental ill health or social isolation. These are organised by a paid Coordinator and led by four sessional Art tutors.

Objectives: The objects of theAssociation shall be: (a) to promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of children, young people and adults particularly by the encouragement, study, practice and knowledge of the visual arts and (b) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Arran and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved,
