To promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Isle of Arran, and in particular, the advancement of education, the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty, distress, and sickness. To promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above purposes and to that end, bring together in council representatives of the voluntary organisations with statutory authorities engaged in the furtherance of the above purposes within the Isle of Arran.

Objectives: 4.1 the advancement of community development primarily within the Isle of Arran , including promoting the voluntary sector and the effectiveness and efficiency of charities. 4.2 the advancement of education primarily for the benefit of people living on the Isle of Arran. 4.3 the advancement of health primarily for the benefit of people living on the Isle of Arran. 4.4 the prevention or relief of poverty primarily for the benefit of people living on the Isle of Arran. 4.5 the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, primarily for the benefit of people living on the Isle of Arran.
