The charity is set up to manage, maintain and hire out the village hall to village residents and others. The rates are set at a level judged to be affordable to most and are reviewed annually. Not-for-profit groups are charged at a rate slightly less than those groups charging for classes. We hold special events for fundraising to enable us to maintain the hourly hire rate.

Objectives: Subject to the said over-riding qualification the objects for which the Company is established are to promote the benefits of the inhabitants of Symington, Ayrshire and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved by the provision, maintenance, repair and restoration of a community hall.
