SDV supports people affected by immigration detention in Scotland by providing a visiting service to Dungavel Immigration Removal Centre. In partnership with other organisations we also advocate for detention reform and ultimately for an end to immigration detention.
Objectives: 4 The organisation's charitable objectives are: 4.1 To relieve the conditions of stress and isolation of asylum seekers and refugees in Scotland who are or have been in immigration detention. 4.2 To improve the health and wellbeing of people in Scotland who are or have been in immigration detention. 4.3 To raise awareness around the issues of detention and advocate for change in order to further our other charitable objectives.’
