Struetur¢. Governance and Management The Charity is an unincorporaicd association. It is governed by its Constitution which w&% adopted on March 30, 1960, and l&sl amended on October 27, 2010. The Association was grdnted charitable status by OSCR on January 1,. 1968. Appointment of M2pa%emeDt Committee Membership of the managem¢nt ¢ommitlLe is open to any member of tlie community (Public Member) OT atfiliated communily group {CommunitylGroup Representative.} Committee memb¢rs are eleLted or re- elected at the Annual G¢n¢ral M¢cting which is nornially held in OctoberNovemb¢r. Managyement Committee meetings are scheduled to take place every two months. Management The Trustees are responsible for the strategic direction and governance of th¢ Association. whilst day-to-day running is dele&Jated to th¢ Chairperson. Secretary and I'reasurer, with the support of appointed Conveners. The T￿SteeS and Otyice B&qrers are all volunteers. obje￿IveS and Activities 'I"he purpos¢ of th¢ Association shall be the advancement of community development, with ihe objectives to'.- a) To promote the wellbeing of the people living in the village of New Deer and the sum)unding area - by liaising with the local authorities, volunlar>' organisations, and residents. in a common effort to promote social acttvitils, foster a COTnmunity spirit, advance education, and to achi¢v¢ othei aims as may be delemiin¢d by the Association. b) To maintain and manage New Deer Public 14all and the Dinuwall Fordyce Community Park for activities promoted by the Association and its constituent members, in furtherance of the above objects. and to carry out any exlension of the premises or facilities provided, which may at any time seem nec¢ssary or desirable. c) To reinv¢st any profirs accruing for thc activitics of the Association into improv¢m¢nts to th¢ facilities ofTered in thc Public Ilall and the Community Park, or to som¢ other purpose dc¢nied by. the committee to b¢ direcily of benefit to the residents of New Deer and the surrounding area.

We wcrc &ssist¢d in this proccss by a busincss consulLint appointcd and funded by Aberdeenshire Coun¢il. OSCR also provid￿1 adi'ice dur ng ihis left￿hY process. A new truste¢ was appointed. Graeme Neish, and he has been a great hLlp during the year. New rules were brought oui b}, the Scottish Government to regi%ter an J12nd oM]ed. This was completed with assistance from our busincss consultant. Following ihe resignaiion of our previous Hall ConvenerlBookings Administraior. and of ihe Village Orderly. new emplo)'ees were recruited for the￿ positions. FINANCIAL CONTROL "I'he 'l'r&asurer ￿pOrtS diligently to the Management Lommillce and expendtture is sanctioned thereby. Routine expendilure is signed off bi two Office Bearers. The Association remains ￿1vent but ￿ previously outlined. significant incrcases in costs are putting a .qtrain on finaneixl ￿$￿i]rceS, causing conttrn fnr ruwicial stability going fonvard. LAND All nec¢ssar)' consents remain in place for access. sewage. and surface runoff water at the four acres of building land so kindly given to us by th¢ late Mr Willie Litilejohn. Unfortunalely we ar¢ no further fonvard in atlracting a developer.
