To promote the care and learning through play of primary school children during out of school hours and during school holidays. To promote the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure time for such children These objectives are met by running playgroups, after school clubs, holiday clubs and breakfast clubs.
Objectives: 1. To promote the benefit of children in East Lothian outwith school hours and during school holidays without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organizations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved 2. To advance the education and training of persons providing care, education and recreational facilities
