The aim of the band is the advancement of the education of the general public in brass band music by:- Meeting regularly, normally once a week, to develop skills and to rehearse, Performing brass band repertoire at public galas, concerts and other community events, Competing in local and national brass band contests. Rehearsals, apart from a couple of weeks off during holidays, were held weekly during 2025, additional rehearsals were held in preparation for special events such as contests and the creation of an ensemble group for concerts. The band performed at a numerous performances throughout the year. Including old favourites, such as the parks in Dundee, as well as new venues such as the V&A Dundee and Arbroath's Path Way For All. Some concerts were paid while others were performed free of charge for the community. The band also contested twice in 2025.

Objectives: The advancement of education of the general public in brass band music by:- (i) the provision of an appropriate administrative structure, instruments and music, (ii) the appointment of a conductor, (iii) the provision of training in brass banding.
