We support people from the youngest to the oldest in Tayside and Fife, who are facing relationship difficulties and family conflict, including parental separation. We provide focused, early intervention support to people in circumstances where high conflict, relationship breakdown or separation threaten their well-being, resilience, and prospects, and specifically those of any children involved. We believe that our relationships underpin and can mitigate wider issues, and we view positive relationships as key conditions of good mental wellbeing. We work with vulnerable children, young people and families, at risk of trauma and other disadvantage. We offer three core supports, Family Mediation, Counselling and Therapeutic support, and Children’s Contact Services. These focus on improving beneficiaries’ resilience, relationships, and wellbeing. We support over 1,500 people offering more than 9,000 sessions annually.

Objectives: The objects for which the Company is established to provide public benefit throughout Scotland are to:- Principal Purpose 5.1 advance family wellbeing, and support individuals, couples, children and families experiencing relationship difficulties, family conflict, parental separation or change through the provision and development of mediation, counselling, reconciliation, dispute resolution, relationship support and other services designed to strengthen relationships and reduce conflict Family wellbeing and relationship support 5.2 advance family wellbeing and support individuals, couples, children and families experiencing relationship difficulties, family conflict, separation or change. Prevention and resolution of family conflict 5.3 prevent, manage and resolve relationship and family conflict through the provision and development of mediation, reconciliation, counselling, dispute resolution and other supportive interventions. Support for children and young people 5.4 promote and safeguard the welfare and interests of children and young people affected by family separation, conflict or relationship difficulties, and to promote and advance understanding of the rights and interests of those experiencing such difficulties. Relationship support and family services 5.5 provide, develop and support services designed to strengthen family relationships and support families experiencing change, including but not limited to mediation, counselling, child contact services, therapeutic support and related forms of assistance. Education and public awareness 5.6. advance education and public understanding of: 5.6.1 family relationships, 5.6.2 healthy relationships, 5.6.3 dispute resolution, and 5.6.4 the needs of children affected by family conflict or separation. Training and professional development 5.7 provide training, education and professional development for practitioners and organisations involved in family support, mediation, counselling and related services. Research and service development 5.8 undertake research and develop innovative approaches to supporting families and resolving relationship conflict.
