Blackhall Nursery was set up in 1999 by local parents to provide high quality childcare and education for children aged 3-5 in the Blackhall Primary School catchment area. Since then the nursery has continued to provide the only fully-funded nursery places in the Blackhall catchment. The Nursery is highly regarded and remains community-led, with the Board/Trustees being parent volunteers. The Nursery currently provides full-time, term-time places for 30 local children. On top of our core activities, which are funded by City of Edinburgh Council, the nursery families work hard to raise much needed funds to enrich the early learning experience for the children and also undertake wider community engagement through local events.
