Western Isles Association for Mental Health (WIAMH) provides a support service called Catch 23 for adults aged 16+ with lived experience of mental ill health (and their friends, family members and carers). WIAMH provides a range of therapeutic activities for members to participate in designed to help people gain and sustain positive mental health and well-being and support them in their recovery journeys. WIAMH also provides a 'drop-in' service aimed to help people build positive peer support networks, reduce loneliness and social isolation. One of WIAMH’s key strengths is our ability to remain flexible and responsive and adapt Catch 23 service provision in-line with members current identified needs. Catch 23 provides practical support to help meet peoples' basic needs, and emotional support & signposting to help them access services and activities to aid them in their recovery journeys and tools to enable them to improve their mental health & address mental health stigma.

Objectives: To promote the preservation of mental health and to assist in relieving and rehabilitating persons suffering from mental health disorders or conditions of emotional or mental distress requiring advice or treatment in the Western Isles To advance the education of the public about mental health and all matters pertaining to it
