Objectives: The Association’s purposes is to ‘Release the potential of children and young people’ in keeping with the “Aims and Purposes” adopted by the British YMCA conference in 1971 which are: 2.1. The advancement of the Christian Faith within the Christian ethos of the YMCA, welcoming persons of other religious faiths and those of none. 2.2. The advancement of education. 2.3. The advancement of citizenship or community development. 2.4. The advancement of health. 2.5. The advancement of public participation in sport. 2.6. The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. 2.7. The prevention of Relief and Poverty. 2.8. To promote events by which the Associations aims, purposes may be furthered.
