The Lorimer Society (Incorporating the Hew Lorimer Trust) exists to promote the achievements of the Lorimers as a family of the Arts, to locate their works and existing archives so as to develop and maintain a comprehensive record. The Society also encourages excellence across Architecture and the Arts while recognising their interrelatedness. We also aim to raise sufficient funds for our running costs in order to fulfil our aims.

Objectives: The Company's object is to advance the education of the public about the life and work of Hew Lorimer and as a means of achieving such an object: (a) To preserve and promote the work of Hew Lorimer (b) To form a full archive of his life and work (c) To foster excellence in stone carving, letter cutting and sculpture and iconography (d) To recognise, as Hew Lorimer did, the interrelatedness of the arts, by fostering the work of living painters, sculptors, musicians, poets and other artists and craftspeople in Scotland
