Objectives: (1) for payment of all necessary expenses in connection with the creation and management of the Fund and the furtherance of the Trust. (2) to hold administer and apply the Fund for the purposes of the Trust, namely to assisc and relieve the poverty of elderly persons (which for the purposes of these presents shall be those who have attained the age of Sixty) resident within the area of benefit aftermentioned and the sick or infirm of any age resident within the said area of benefit and to advance the education of young persons (which for the purposes of these presents shall be those who have not yet attained the age of Twenty-five) resident within the area of benefit namely the District of Tweeddale (being the former County of Peebles) within the Borders Region.
