The charity is set up to raise fund to take sick pilgrims to Lourdes. Funds are raised through membership and donations. Funds are expended on the biennial trip to Lourdes.

Objectives: To ensure that membership subscriptions are forwarded to the Diocesan Pilgrimages Committee. To raise funds as necessary to ensure that no sick-person within the deanery is denied the opportunity to make pilgrimage to Lourdes through the lack of finance especially sick-pilgrims. To ensure that there is adequate assistance to look after pilgrims to Lourdes especially the sick-pilgrims *i.e. Priests, nurses, female-helpers, male-helpers both on the journey and also while in Lourdes. To ensure that the Deanery Committee is properly represented on the Diocesan Pilgrimages Committee by appointing two representatives to the D.P.C. The term a person serves on the D.P.C. as representative should be decided by the deanery committee, however, a term in excess of four years - that is two diocesan pilgrimages, is not recommended. To organise the Deanery Committee on a formal basis.
