The charity was inspired by the life of Mark Scott who was murdered in 1995 in an unprovoked sectarian attack. The charity supports young people to participate in The Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award 'The Award' a programme which is delivered by The Outward Bound Trust a registered charity. The Award is a unique combination of residential outdoor learning and urban based community project work over a period of 5 to 6 months. 50% of participants are from the 30% most deprived communities in Scotland.
