The main focus of geology in Swtland has been the celebration of the tercentenary of James Hutton. sometimes called the father of fflern geology The trustees have continued to encourage Scottish Geolo8y Trust in their bold venture along with the Edinburgh geological S(Kiety to set up a deep Time Trail which culminates at Siccar point. Funds were successfully raised for this ambiti( project and First Scottish was not called upon for financial help. apart from an initial contributiofy to fund any shortfall which it tacitly promised to the project.
