The purpose of the Charity is to manage, maintain and improve the McLean Hall Fearnan to provide a local facility for social, recreational and other purposes usual for a village hall and to ensure its continued value for the community. This is done by ensuring that the fabric of the building is maintained and insured, by responding to requests from users for additions or improvements to equipment inside the Hall and by improving access eg by installing bike stands and a designated disabled car parking space. Funds are raised from rental income, fund-raising activities and grants.

Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: To promote McLean Hall and its use to the inhabitants of Fearnan & District, regardless of sex, or political, religious or other opinions, as a social and recreational centre. To encourage residents of all ages to feel part of, and to participate, in the local community through the use of McLean Hall. To maintain, manage and control the McLean Hall for the current residents and for all future residents of Fearnan & District.
