'the prevention or relief of poverty','the advancement of education','the advancement of health','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

We are set up to support families with young children who are experiencing difficulties such as isolation, poor mental health, financial hardship or other pressures. We aim to help families cope, build confidence and improve outcomes for children. We do this by recruiting, training and supporting local volunteers who provide practical and emotional support to families, mainly in their own homes or within the community. Support is tailored to each family’s needs and may include listening support, help with routines, parenting confidence, and signposting to other services. Our work helps reduce stress in families, strengthens parenting capacity and promotes the wellbeing and development of children

Objectives: The objects of the Charity are: a) To safeguard, protect, preserve and promote the health, both mental and physical, and wellbeing of children and the parents/carers of children. b) To prevent cruelty to or maltreatment of children. c) To relieve sickness, poverty and need amongst children and the parents/carers of children. d) To support young children and their families. and e) To promote the education of the public in better standards of child care within the areas of Kincardine, Mearns, Deeside, Alford and Strathdon and their environs.
