To provide financial grants to members (and widows) of Masonic Lodge who are over 65 years of age and are regular attenders. To donate to local charities. To maintain Masonic building.

Objectives: 7.1 The SCIO will promote, advance and further its Charitable purposes by operating as a “grant giving” charity which will support financially and otherwise charities and projects designed to achieve aims and deliver projects that are intended to:- 7.1.1 support older people who will benefit from assistance due to age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. or 7.1.2 support such other purposes as are Charitable. 7.2 For the purposes of the 2005 Act the following charitable purposes are (i) particularly relevant and (ii) is the charitable purpose identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act:- 7.2.1 the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. and 7.2.2 all other Charitable purposes. 7.3 For the purposes of the Taxes Acts and the provisions set out in clauses 7.1 to 7.2 shall be read together to ensure the purposes of the SCIO are compliant with the Taxes Acts.
