The trust's purpose is to hold the residue balance and distribute half of the available income (as determined by the Bank) equally among: (a) The Episcopal Church of Scotland, (b) The Board of Management, North Ayrshire Museum , Saltcoats, and (c) Sisters of Mercy, The Covent South Crescent Ardrossan. The other half is to be distributed among: (a) Glasgow & West of Scotland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, (b) The National Trust for Scotland, and (c) The Bank Clerks Widows and Orphans Fund, in proportions determined solely by the Trustee Manager at the Bank’s Glasgow Chief Office, or failing that, the Head Office.

Objectives: The trust purpose conferred upon the beneficiaries is to hold the said balance of the said residue and in all time coming to pay a one half share of the available income or annual produce thereof (as estimated and fixed by the said Bank in their sole discretion) to and among the beneficiarie: namely, (a) The Episcopal Church of Scotland. (b) The Board of Management, North Ayrshire Museum, Saltcoats. (c) Sisters of Mercy, The Convent, South Crescent, Ardrossan, hereto, equally among such beneficiaries and the other one half share of the said available income or annual produce (as estimated and fixed as aforesaid) to and among the beneficiaries. namely, (a)The Glasgow and West of Scotland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. (b) The National Trust for Scotland. (c) The Bank Clerks Widows and Orphans Fund and that in such shares and proportions as the Trustee Manager of the said Bank at their Glasgow Chief Office, whom failing for any reason the Trustee Manager at the Head Office of the said Bank, may in his sole discretion from time to time fix and determine.
