religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary
organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education,
further the health of the said inhabitants and to provide a meeting place
and other facilities in the interests of social welfare, leisure, recreation and
education so that the conditions of life of the inhabitants can be improved
and to establish or secure the establishment of a meeting place and to

APPENDIX 1

Achievements and performance Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of
the charity during the financial period
The 2025 season was reasonably successful for Westside as the club won
one trophy; the Eilean An Fhraoich Cup. Westside finished 2nd in the
Lewis & Harris league, only one point behind the winners, Back FC.
Financial review
Brief statement of the charity’s policy
on reserves
Details of any deficit
Donated facilities and services (if any)
The general fund represents the unrestricted funds of the charity.
Restricted Funds relate to grant income from a community lottery with
funding distributed to community groups within our geographical area.
A deficit of £2,420 was recorded in the year on unrestricted funds, largely
attributable to travel costs for participation in various cup competitions and
higher than expected pitch hire costs for the development club. This does
not cause a significant concern and was covered from reserves, including
the previous year’s unrestricted surplus of £6,183.
