Action on Asbestos is set up to support and campaign for individuals suffering from asbestos related diseases and other industry related diseases and injuries. To do so the charity provides welfare rights assistance to victims and their families, provide regular beneficiary support meetings, provide grants to NHS Trusts and Universities involved in the treatment of and research into relevant diseases and injuries, and campaigns on behalf of its beneficiaries as a whole.

Objectives: ‘4 The company's objects are: (a) To provide financial and practical relief to those in need by reason of diagnosis of an asbestos related disease or other industrial-related disease or industrial injury or accident. (b) To advance awareness, research and education about asbestos related disease and other industrial-related diseases among health care professionals, the general public and statutory, voluntary and public bodies’.
