Set up to conserve, interpret and promote the natural, built and cultural heritage of Dumfries and Galloway. Activity has been winding down over recent years due to lack of incoming resources and the organisation intends to, and has requested consent to, wind up during the 2025/26 financial year.
Objectives: The objects for which the Company is established are:- (A) (1) to protect, preserve and improve buildings or artifacts of historical, architectural or constructional interest in the geographical area of Dumfries and Galloway region. (2) To protect, preserve and improve the landscape and the countryside of Dumfries and Galloway Region and to encourage and enable the public to enjoy the same. (3) To promote, protect and preserve the historical and architectural heritage of Dumfries and Galloway Region and to assist in education relative thereto.
