Activities
'It carries out activities or services itself'
'the advancement of education','the advancement of environmental protection or improvement','the advancement of animal welfare'
Our purpose is to rescue injured or orphaned wildlife and rehabilitate them back into the wild. In addition, our manager and volunteers give educational talks to groups of all ages and schools on our work and the environment. We hope to improve public awareness of our native wildlife and their environmental needs. The Hospital is set in the grounds of a land-based college, now part of Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC). They offer a range of animal care and wildlife courses and the students gain experience from spending time in our facility during their courses. SRUC let us have the land rent free for this service.
Objectives: To relieve and treat suffering among wild creatures who are in need of care and establish, equip and maintain a Wildlife Hospital for the reception, care and treatment of wild creatures in need of attention and further to provide for the provision, repair, renewal and upgrading of all property and equipment required for such objects.
