Organising and or coordinating events and activities for the benefit of the community. Providing communications to the Neighbourhood to promote activities and events. Working with similar groups and exchanging information and advice with them. Raising funds and receiving contributions where appropriate to finance the work. Carrying out and promoting both environmental improvement and practical conservation to educate, encourage and support the local population in environmental practice by working with statutory and non-statutory agencies. Involving local people to improve the area.
Objectives: The objects of the Association shall be:- To promote the well-being of the community and residents in Newtonhill and District (hereinafter called the Neighbourhood') without distinction of sex or of politcal, religious or other opinions, by associating with the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and residents in a common effort to further health, to advance education, to provide a meeting place and facilities for physical and mental training and restoration, to develop social, moral and intellectual standards and to foster a community spirit for the achievement of these and other such objectives as may be by law deemed to be charitable.
