Objectives: The General Nursing Council for Scotland (Education) Fund 1983 ('the Fund') was set up by the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for Scotland as a perpetual fund for the purposes of the provision of financial support for studies related to nurse (including midwife and those nursing within the social care sector) education. the provision of research grants for projects related to nurse (including midwife and those nursing within the social care sector) education. the provision and development of reference library facilities for the profession. and the funding of study tours (which shall hereinafter be defined as 'the Charitable Purposes') which purposes must be a charitable purpose in terms of the Charity and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and also in terms of any UK taxing/statutes).
