Governance & Management Governing Document The Church was adminislered in accordance with the teS of the Unitary Conslitution which was approved by the General Assembly on 14" September 2017 Recrultment & Appolntment of Trustees Members of the Kirk Session are the Charity, Triislees. The Kirk Session members re Ihe elders of the church and are chosen from those members of the church who are COldered lo have Ihe appropriate gifts and skills. The niiiiisler or interim moderator, who is a member of the Kirk Session. is elected by the congregation and inducted by Presbytrry. The Committee mombers ol the Kirk Session are appoinled from the Eldership and from wilhin the congregation bul the trustees in the l<irk Session lake responsibility for all decisions regarding the life of the congregalion. including its financial affairs. The Locurn Minister and congregation have continued to ofkr ministry to the community and 18 funerals took pla. Community activities are conti uing and the Tuesday Morning Fellowship group continue to meet in th& local Cornmunity Centre and many of our members attend a Tliuisday Group also in the Community C and many of Ihe ladif)s also allend The Rural. which meels Monday monthly within I Church14all. There has been regular visiting lo local care homes and the nearby Fort Valley Royal hospital for members and non Inp.mbers in caro Of in hospital. Throughoknt the year we engaged in regular school assemblies with the local Bonnybridge Pnmary a1 Antonine Primary schools and they ciProc81d by holding their Easter. End of Sumrtier Term, Harvest and Christmas services in the Cliurch. We again hosted the Annual Se¢vice of RemembrancL> and our locum conducted the service al Ihe local war memorial. Tha year ended with our second, very sucss[u1.CarolS by Candlelight 'in a full Church and a sell- out evening raising funds for both the church aiid the local charity ROOTS. The Good Companions Ladies Group continue lo meet iiinnlhly on Friday evenings with a rang SP8akers each month and successful evenings (jul al Christmas and Sumrner. The introduction of a Friday Prayer Group meeting has gone wcll with several attending a many prayer requests being submitted on car(Iq provided lo the congregation. and ntre Financial Review During 2024 the principal source of income l)as again been th8 weekly offerings. whi continues lo show a decrease due lo declininq membership (dcathsl for gift-aided an gift aided conlribulions. The Property Committee has done an excellent job and has also arranged all necessary repair£ a% w811 as work on the groui',ds. The eler.trical system on the propety is in good order, and both Ihe boiler systems have been Seld and are in good repair. The congregation still Iiolds a small serve in trust with the General Trustees, in case of emergency and conlingency projects. The Trustees on the Kirk Session lake respon8lbilily for all fundTalsing events and a special gift month was held during the year. Despite a reduction in income lo the General Fund. the finances ol the congregation and the reserves tlial are held by the General Truslees are sound and reflect the generous support given by the rNembers of the church. This will Ilow the Church to continue to perform all its ch8rilah5e functions to the full, through the diligence of the Trustees and members, and by the grace of God.
