The Atholl Centre provides residential accommodation to individuals and groups using our facilities, with a particular focus on the physically disabled. We operate a Changing Places Toilet which can be used by anyone visiting Pitlochry. We provide accommodation for the use of local community groups and the local councillor and MSP hold their surgeries in the Centre. A local Recovery Cafe operates in the premises to support people with complex issues. The Centre operates the local Highland Perthshire Foodbank and makes available food close to its expiry date through the Food Share programme. The Centre is a place that reflects Christian values and compassion where people can meet and find help and encouragement.

Objectives: 4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 To advance Christian education and training and wider educational opportunities for residents of Scotland and beyond through the provision of Conference Centre and residential facilities. 4.2 To promote equality and inclusivity, particularly for those with complex needs such as physical and psychological disabilities. 4.3 To provide facilities that can meet the diverse range of needs of individuals or groups from all parts of society who wish to come to a Centre with a Christian ethos. 4.4 To advance community development and civic responsibility through encouraging social interaction, providing Internet access to those who need to access social care and enabling public engagement with local politicians. 4.5 To participate in the promotion of religious and racial harmony. 4.6 To relieve poverty in the local community through running the local Foodbank, the Food Share scheme and other local initiatives such as our Community Garden. 4.7 To provide an emergency shelter for the local community in the event of a disaster. 4.8 To engage in activities fulfilling the Centre’s ethos “to show respect, consideration, and hospitality to all who work in the Centre and to all who visit, wherever they come from.
