The objectives of our charity are to develop and encourage the study, performance and appreciation of musical works. We do this by providing a safe, welcoming setting where people can share their passion for music, develop their confidence and abilities and, with consistent regular rehearsals achieve, as a group, the experience of performing public concerts. This enhances the individual, the group, and community, creating a wider appreciation of classical choral music and other genres. We conduct weekly rehearsals from August to May, engaging well-qualified MD and Accompanist, who introduce a broad range of materials and composers. We encourage social interaction through break times, some open rehearsal evenings, to which we invite interested people to join us for singing and refreshments, and through our 3 public concerts per year. We publicise our rehearsals and concerts using quality materials, printed, and online. Some members may be appointed officers of the Choir.
Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'
