YMCA Bellshill & Mossend exists to help children, young people and families to feel safe, learn, belong and thrive. We provide welcoming spaces and activities in our building and in the community. We run childcare, youth clubs, 1:1 mentoring and holiday programmes that build skills, confidence and good choices. We support learning through workshops on wellbeing, digital skills, leadership and life skills, and we encourage a healthy lifestyle through sport, play and active clubs. We strengthen community by involving young people in planning and volunteering, working with schools, local partners and parents. We support those in need through our foodbank, advice, warm spaces, women’s wellbeing group, sensory sessions and targeted help when times are hard. Our SHINE values guide how we work: Supported, Honest, Inclusive, Non-judgemental and adaptable to our Environment. We listen, remove barriers and tailor support so people can take part, build connections and reach their potential.

Objectives: 5.1. To organise the prov1s1on of recreational facilities in order to provide a safe environment and to promote the acceptance of all people. 5.2. To promote citizenship and develop community spirit by encouraging young people to consider their community and engage in organised activities, strengthening families at the heart of the community. 5.4. The relief of need of the most vulnerable children, young people, and families in the community through the provision of support and activities that respond effectively to those needs.
