FST is the membership and sector support body for professional dance, opera, and theatre in Scotland. We advocate, connect across, and lead necessary change within the performing arts, enabling a thriving sector that that is integral to a vibrant, diverse, and equitable Scotland.

Objectives: 7 The Company is established for Charitable Purposes only. 7.1.1 to assist in organising, managing and providing theatrical performances, opera, dance, orchestral, instrumental, vocal and choral concerts and performances, meetings, lectures, study circles and similar activities connected wi1h the theatre in any part of the world. 7.1.2 to advise and assist in the management and conduct of Scottish theatre, opera and dance activities through the exchange of views and information relating to such activities and by stimulating public interest in dramatic, operatic, musical and choreographic entertainments of an educational nature. 7.1.3 to establish and provide for the convenience of audiences and persons attending meetings, lectures. concerts, perfonnances. and other activities of the Company, restaurants, refreshment rooms. lounges and other similar facilities. and 7.1.4 to foster and encourage the appreciation, furtherance and practice of the theatre, opera and dance by scholarships, studentships, prizes, competitions or any similar means for the time being available.
