The North Merchiston Club has been operating for over 100 years and continues to play an important role as a community-based resource for local people, families and neighbouring communities. We strive to be supportive and responsive to community interests and needs, often exploring how best to tackle these challenges together. We bring people together in our community whether through participation in club led activities either sporting or non sporting, we provide space for other non club activities to provide their services within the community and lastly we have an open door policy for club members and non members to come along to our club cafe. Activities run are all inclusive from pre-school young people through our older retired community. We place people at the very heart of all that we do and, as our logo suggests, we aim to provide ‘A Place for Everyone’.

Objectives: 2.0 The Charitable Purposes of the Company are to advance education and participation in sport and recreation within the local community by: 2. 1 creating opportunities for structured learning to promote the moral, intellectual and social wellbeing of its subscribers. and 2.2 providing facilities and support for the development of recreational and other leisure-time occupation. and 2.3 working with statutory authorities and other voluntary organisations having similar objects.
