The Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society is an independent, non-profit making charity, established in 1973 to promote and encourage awareness of the Scottish architect and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. • To support the conservation, preservation, maintenance and restoration of buildings and artefacts designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries. • To safeguard and further the legacy of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries by being an authority on his work. • To care for, maintain and develop Queen's Cross Church, the only built Mackintosh Church, and the Society's headquarters since 1976. • To advance public education in, and engagement with, the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries through wide-ranging quality events, publications, talks and other initiatives with a particular focus on students and new talents • To represent and develop the membership of the Society, locally, nationally and internationally.

Objectives: The aims of the Society are: a) to support the conservation, preservation, maintenance and improvement of buildings and artefacts designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries. b) to advance public education and engagement with the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his contemporaries through events, publications, talks and other initiatives.
