The Society was established for the specific purpose of cultivating the language, poetry and music of the Scottish Highlands and generally furthering the interests of the Gaelic-speaking people. Between eight and ten meetings are held each winter in Inverness at which invited speakers present papers to the Society. The papers are delivered bilingually and the Society welcomes anyone wishing to deliver a paper on any subject to contact us.

Objectives: To cultivate the language, poetry and music of the Scottish Highlands.
