It is set up principally to promote participation and appreciation of Scottish Country Dancing and interactions with foreign groups of Folk Dancing.
Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'
Objectives: The objects of the Society shall be to promote participation in, and the appreciation of, Scottish country dancing, highland dancing, and of any other form of dancing, whether Scottish, folk or otherwise. In particular and without prejudice to the foregoing generality, these objects shall include the organisation of and the promotion of attendance at folk or folk dance festivals whether in the U.K. or abroad.
