The charity is set up to provide financial support for the benefit of patients and former patients of Pitlochry Community Hospital. We achieve this by inviting applications for grants and the committee assess whether they meet our criteria as laid out in the application forms. We also provide support to patients of the Atholl Medical Centre in Pitlochry in a similar fashion.

Objectives: The Charitable Purposes of the Friends (“the Charitable Purposes”) are: (i) to advance the welfare and well-being of current and former patients at Pitlochry Community Hospital, Pitlochry, Perthshire (“the Hospital”), and/or others requiring care in the community of Pitlochry and District (“the District”) and generally those residing in the District, defined as the area served by the Atholl Medical Practice, requiring support and assistance by reason of ill-health, disability, age, mobility issues or other disadvantage. and (ii) to support generally the work of the Hospital, the Atholl Medical Centre , and those who provide welfare, care or rescue services in or inter alia for the benefit of the District.. the District is defined as the area served by the Atholl Medical Centre (as accepted by Tayside Health Board, or their successors, from time to time),
