MMC is firstly a chamber music promoter. We run a series of 8 concerts a year in Milngavie, with acclaimed international groups and soloists. We have had a fairly constant subscriber base of 170 over the last 3 years, and sell up to 100 single tickets for each concert. We also promote and pay for outreach work in local East Dunbartonshire schools. In addition we run a successful weekly 'come and play chamber music' event for adult amateurs, for which we ask a small fee. We have worked hard to enable the creation of an 'ensemble in residence' for the forthcoming season. Their remit is to give some attractive slightly less formal afternoon concerts, to attract a different demographic. Additionally they will workshop in our local schools.

Objectives: The objects of MMC shall be to advance appreciation of, public education and participation in the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including the presentation of public events.
