We promote the work of women in the visual arts and provide spaces for meeting, networking and encouraging members and their associates. We encourage partnerships with the wider artistic community in Scotland and abroad. Archives of the GSWA/GSLA are now stored with the Mitchell library and we are supportive of the art community especially recently in Trongate 103 in their struggles with the collossal rent rises they are resisting.

Objectives: The promotion of interest in Art and particularly in the work of women artists, fostering this interest by such means as the holding of exhibitions and other functions periodically.
