Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science'

Our charity is set up to foster the study and appreciation of chamber music. We do this by promoting a series of concerts during the autumn, winter and early spring months. We offer subscriptions to our concert season, and the people who subscribe become members of ACMC. We also sell tickets to individual concerts. We offer concessionary-priced tickets to encourage diversity in our audiences. We book a variety of performers, as individuals or small ensembles, to appeal to a wide range of audience members. We welcome musicians who have enjoyed previous success with our audiences, as well as promising newcomers. Our charity has a secondary object: to provide an annual outreach programme in the local community. We do this by promoting lunchtime concerts in the Newton Dee Camphill Community which are open to everyone and free to attend. Some of the musicians who perform in our usual Monday evening concerts are booked to give lunchtime concerts on the following day.

Objectives: The objects of the Club shall be to foster the appreciation and study of chamber music.
