SC004923) in 1979. It is £ovarned by its constitution. The Association is made up of its members from whom the members of the Management Corlimittee are recruited and elections are held at the Annual General Meeting. Annual Re ort of thé Mana ement Committee SESKPA was formed in 1979 by renal patients and their carers Wlth the objert of promoting support to renal patients and their families to help improve their quality of life and represents patients and their carers served by Lothian Health Board and Borders Trust. The last year has been very exciting for our Association due tc the procurement of a new caravan. I would like to thank and of our Caravan. for their ongoing advice and 5UPPOrt, an for her management Kidney Care UK provided the funding for the new caravan which can accommodate up to eight people and is still located in the Berwick Holiday Centre. The new caravan allows the Association to provide patients, carers and family members with access to a period of rest and rèlief, a distraction from the relentlessness of their disease and often gruelling dialysis treatment. Our Caravan continues to be a well-sUPPOrted and much appreciated facility. The issue of SESKPA membership continue5 to be a major headache and whilst it has not been possible so far to increase our membership numbers we are hopeful that this situation will change. A continued concern are the health issues beinB experienced by our artive members and we are offering support wh•n required. Whilst the activities of SESKPA continue to be restricted by the shortage of active Committee Members I look forward to a brighter future. Financial review At the year-end cash reserves stood at £9,2981£14,072 20231. The Committee's policy is to makntain sufficient reserves to run the organisation and provide for future years. The committee considers that this amount of reserves satisfies this. Approved by the Management Committee and signed on its behalf. {21

An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.
