RHASS is Scotland’s agricultural charity, providing a voice for those within Scottish agriculture and the rural community. We strive as a charity for new ways to preserve, educate and support the agricultural industry and the people who live and work in the Scottish countryside, by uniting communities and investing in innovation, education, wellbeing and the environment. RHASS is a membership charity, with around 16,000 members. This community is built on a legacy of integrity, honesty and genuine care for the countryside and the people who have dedicated their lives to it. We carry out our charitable purposes largely through putting on the Royal Highland Show - Scotland's largest outdoor event, which connects rural and urban communities and showcases the best of food, farming and rural life.

Objectives: The charitable objects of the Society shall be (first) the advancement of education, (secondly) the advancement of citizenship and community development, (thirdly) the advancement of heritage, culture and science, (fourthly) the advancement of environmental protection and improvement and (fifthly) the advancement of animal welfare
