The trust is set up to promote agriculture throughout Scotland, to encourage good animal husbandry and rural employment through the provision of grants or financial assistance to the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) and to raise funds for the purposes of making such grants and financial assistance.

Objectives: To promote agriculture, allied and rural industries throughout Scotland, whether in the Highlands or in any other parts of the country, to encourage good husbandry, rural employment, training and craftsmanship, forestry and long service in such activities
